I woke up at 5:45am this morning. Man, was I tired! I definitely was not excited about the day at all, as I figured I was probably going to feel sluggish all day long.
I did my standard rushed-morning-routine (bathroom, brush teeth, brush hair, put hair up in a ponytail, head to the kitchen, have a glass of water with my Herbalife tablets, prepare my Formula 1 shake, prepare a shaker of Herbalife tea, head back to my room, throw on some workout clothes and get out the door in 15 minutes.) Believe it or not, girls are capable of getting ready quickly 😉
I headed up to Mission Bay Park to help lead the morning workout. I was a little grumpy this morning and didn't feel like expending any extra energy than I had to. However, we only had three clients show up, so I ended up working out with them while Justina (another health coach) ran it. I was hurtin' at first but once I got the blood pumping, the adrenaline started to kick in! I ended up getting a good workout in, had some fun joking around with everyone and by the end of it all, I was ready to take on the day!
After the workout, I headed back home, checked a few messages and put together a workout for the 9:30am workout I was leading at el Toyon Park in National City. Today was actually the first workout I got to lead there, as coach Michael (who started this fit club) has stepped aside this past week to let some other coaches take a stab leading them.
I got down to the park for 9am, and caught up with some of the coaches as well as our clients, while we waited to get started. Coach Roger even showed up today, so that was a pleasant surprise (he doesn't usually come to the 9:30am workouts, but he's a great coach!) We ended up having about 10 or so people come out and I think I successfully kicked their butts 😉 They were dying! I totally love pushing people past their limits!!
After the workout, I did free body scans for everyone to either check their progress or to get first time #'s for new-comers. The body scans tell you your weight, BMI, body fat %, muscle %, etc., etc. I was stoked to see my clients were improving on their #'s!!! HAPPY DAY!!!
After the workout, I hit up the Fresh 'N Easy for some groceries. I haven't been there in about a year so I had a little bit of fun, finding new things to try. Walked out of there with $100+ worth of food. Oops. Oh well, at least I'll be prepped with food for at least a week.
I headed home, made a parmesan encrusted chicken salad (yay, getting my veggies in today!) and did a little work on the lap top. After I ate, I cleaned up the kitchen, took a shower and finished up that graphic design project I've been working on (hopefully!)
I then went over the progress #'s for two of my clients and, low and behold, they have both improved amazingly!! I was so excited for them, I had to call them and let them know (and I am NOT a phone person!) This is the kind of stuff that excites me. I truly love what I do!
After all of that, I signed in to Lyft around 4:30pm and got a Lyft request right away from a girl also named Tara. As we got to talking, we realized we had a lot in common! Aside from having the same name, we are both from MA and are both entrepreneurs with our own companies in a creative field. I ended up giving her my business card and we might connect with each other down the line. Such a cool connection!
I had a couple other amazing Lyfts tonight as well. A few that really made me laugh. For some reason, I keep meeting the right kind of people at the right time!
I just need to say, thank goodness for Lyft! It gives me ample side money (or rather MOST of my monthly income!) and it allows me to advertise my two businesses and network. Plus, during my down town, while I'm waiting for my next Lyft request, I can blog, market and advertise on social media, read business books or blogs, or totally just sign out and go get some food. I really got lucky! I hope all of this comes together for something greater some day! I can't wait to tell my story... oh wait, I already am 😉
It was a long day but I got way more done than I thought I would and actually had consistent energy all throughout the day! No naps needed today, just staying on my GRIND!!!! 😀
