Turning inward to learn more about WHO WE REALLY ARE will help us understand how we operate better, therefore bringing more self awareness.
When we are able to face our inner demons head on, we will see they aren’t really all that scary. They are simply thoughts and feelings that enjoy telling us negative things about ourselves, like we “aren’t good enough” or we “will never be able to do that.”
We have to realize that these little sadistic fuckers aren’t real. 👿
However, if we treat them like they are and LET them control how we show up in life, they will prevent us from experiencing happiness, peace, love and hope… things I believe most of us truly want to FEEL more of.
When we choose to hand our power over to them, we will find ourselves living in a constant state of fear, sadness, anxiety, frustration and disappointment. That doesn’t sound like a lot of fun, now, does it?
In order to get to a place of more overall peace and happiness, we have to make a choice between two things:
- Hiding from these demons and their negative energies
- Facing these demons and confronting them
We confront our inner demons by allowing ourselves to FEEL them through all the way (gotta feel to heal!)
By confronting them, we are acknowledging them. Like, “Ok dude, what is UP?! WHY are you making me feel like this? What is this all about?”
Once we start talking to these inner demons/negative feelings, we will start to understand them better. When we understand them, we will be better able to figure out why they keep showing up in certain life situations.
When we have a better understanding of all of this, we will start to RESPOND rather than REACT to life. When we respond, we are coming from a place of internal peace and understanding. When we react, we are coming from an emotional state that we don’t fully understand yet (this is why we need to pay attention to emotional triggers).
To reach a state of inner peace inside our heads we need to practice more #selflove by turning inward and really getting to know our dark side. This is how we’ll be able to #transmute all that dark shit into light and turn our pain into our power. 😌
